[QS 5:31]:

"Kemudian Allah menyuruh seekor burung gagak menggali-gali di bumi untuk memperlihatkan kepadanya (Qabil) bagaimana seharusnya menguburkan mayat saudaranya. Berkata Qabil: "Aduhai celaka aku, mengapa aku tidak mampu berbuat seperti burung gagak ini, lalu aku dapat menguburkan mayat saudaraku ini?" Karena itu jadilah dia seorang diantara orang-orang yang menyesal."

"Then Allah sent a raven, who scratched the ground, to show him how to hide the shame of his brother. "Woe is me!" said he; "Was I not even able to be as this raven, and to hide the shame of my brother?" then he became full of regrets-"

[QS 5:30]:

"Maka hawa nafsu Qabil menjadikannya menganggap mudah membunuh saudaranya, sebab itu dibunuhnyalah, maka jadilah ia seorang diantara orang-orang yang merugi."

"The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones."

[QS 5:29]:

""Sesungguhnya aku ingin agar kamu kembali dengan (membawa) dosa (membunuh)ku dan dosamu sendiri, maka kamu akan menjadi penghuni neraka, dan yang demikian itulah pembalasan bagi orang-orang yang zalim"."

""For me, I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine, for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire, and that is the reward of those who do wrong.""

[QS 5:28]:

""Sungguh kalau kamu menggerakkan tanganmu kepadaku untuk membunuhku, aku sekali-kali tidak akan menggerakkan tanganku kepadamu untuk membunuhmu. Sesungguhnya aku takut kepada Allah, Tuhan seru sekalian alam"."

""If thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for I do fear Allah, the cherisher of the worlds."

[QS 5:27]:

"Ceritakanlah kepada mereka kisah kedua putera Adam (Habil dan Qabil) menurut yang sebenarnya, ketika keduanya mempersembahkan korban, maka diterima dari salah seorang dari mereka berdua (Habil) dan tidak diterima dari yang lain (Qabil). Ia berkata (Qabil): "Aku pasti membunuhmu!". Berkata Habil: "Sesungguhnya Allah hanya menerima (korban) dari orang-orang yang bertakwa"."

"Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "Allah doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous."

[QS 5:26]:

"Allah berfirman: "(Jika demikian), maka sesungguhnya negeri itu diharamkan atas mereka selama empat puluh tahun, (selama itu) mereka akan berputar-putar kebingungan di bumi (padang Tiih) itu. Maka janganlah kamu bersedih hati (memikirkan nasib) orang-orang yang fasik itu"."

"Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people."

[QS 5:25]:

"Berkata Musa: "Ya Tuhanku, aku tidak menguasai kecuali diriku sendiri dan saudaraku. Sebab itu pisahkanlah antara kami dengan orang-orang yang fasik itu"."

"He said: "O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother: so separate us from this rebellious people!""

[QS 5:24]:

"Mereka berkata: "Hai Musa, kami sekali sekali tidak akan memasukinya selama-lamanya, selagi mereka ada didalamnya, karena itu pergilah kamu bersama Tuhanmu, dan berperanglah kamu berdua, sesungguhnya kami hanya duduk menanti disini saja"."

"They said: "O Moses! while they remain there, never shall we be able to enter, to the end of time. Go thou, and thy Lord, and fight ye two, while we sit here (and watch).""

[QS 5:23]:

"Berkatalah dua orang diantara orang-orang yang takut (kepada Allah) yang Allah telah memberi nikmat atas keduanya: "Serbulah mereka dengan melalui pintu gerbang (kota) itu, maka bila kamu memasukinya niscaya kamu akan menang. Dan hanya kepada Allah hendaknya kamu bertawakkal, jika kamu benar-benar orang yang beriman"."

"(But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith.""

[QS 5:22]:

"Mereka berkata: "Hai Musa, sesungguhnya dalam negeri itu ada orang-orang yang gagah perkasa, sesungguhnya kami sekali-kali tidak akan memasukinya sebelum mereka ke luar daripadanya. Jika mereka ke luar daripadanya, pasti kami akan memasukinya"."

"They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter.""
